Course of Treatment
For acute pain, we recommend 2 visits a week for 2 weeks. Pain relief may often be felt after the first one or two treatments.
For chronic pain, we recommend 2 visits a week for 2-3 weeks, tapering down to once a week when the symptoms abate, for a total of approximately 10 treatments. Pain reduction is often felt after 2-4 visits, but treatment time for chronic pain varies between individuals.
Herbal medicine is often used as a compliment to acupuncture for pain relief. It supports the overall health of the body in order to speed healing, decrease inflammation, and promote blood circulation. Other complimentary therapies can also be used in conjunction with acupuncture, such as chiropractic treatment, massage therapy, physiotherapy, and fitness training.
“I have an autoimmune illness called polymyasitis, it causes weakness in muscles.
